Emerging Adult Panel: 18 to 29 year-olds speak about their mental health
experiences
The Emerging Adult Panel at the Preconference Workshop:
Mental Health in Emerging Adulthood (Ages 18 to 29): Understanding
and Meeting The Needs of This Distinct Age Group will host young
people to discuss personal experiences about what it is like to deal with
mental health issues during the late teens and twenties.
Emerging adult panelists will discuss:
· How each recognized and defined experiences as mental health issues
· The history of her/his mental health issues
· Sources of support for dealing with mental health issues
· Experiences with mental health services
· The impact of mental health problems on their lives between ages 18 and 29
· How panelists expect mental health problems to impact their futures
